India Gate, New Dehli (originally called the All India War Memorial) - commemorates members of the British Indian Army who died fighting for the Indian Empire in the Afghan War and 1st World War. Their names are etched on the gate. After India got its independence, India Gate became the site of the Indian Army's Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It's located in Rajpath, the royal way which leads to the President's residence.
